Initially, I review my potential clients books to assess the general well being of their books. Its only after reviewing their current books that I can accurately offer a price for the work that will be required of me. However, because I'm a virtual bookkeeper, I can keep my overhead costs down and this gives me an edge over my competition. 

I am a virtual bookkeeper, which means I work remotely. So it depends on the service, but typically I meet with a new client in person, by phone, Zoom or even instant messaging, if they prefer. I have a questionnaire I like to go over with them. I listen to what their needs are and always try to work within their budget.
